Afterburner Test (critiques welcome)
So I've been trying for the afterburner effect for a while. Personally, not a fan of having the eureka moment come soooo long after starting the project, but better late than never.

More to come showing the flame, since I know it's kind of obscured / cutoff.
E-Wing, Electronic Warfare Version
An electronic warfare version of the Mark 5 E-Wing. It’s equipped with a lot of the same sensor equipment as the Recon version, but swaps out some of it and two hard points for jamming hardware. It still has cannons and torpedoes for self-defense, and can be equipped with any combination of missiles or accessory jammers, depending on threat level and mission requirements.
Recon E-Wing, Mk 5
A recon version of the Mk-5 E-Wing. A slight bit slower and more sluggish than the original strike-fighter, due to extra equipment, these detriments are practically negated in the hands of an experienced and capable pilot, and negligible in all but a planet's gravity and atmosphere. While the original fighter's sensors are no joke in their own right, the scout's sensors go above and beyond again where being undetectable renders a larger ship useless, and quick thinking does the same to drones and droids. They also still retain much of the combat performance and capabilities of the fighters upon which the modifications were made.
So, I've decided to get back into doing commission work, starting off with a group of people I write with as often as I can. Somewhere, it seems that I had slowly drifted off of being an artist, and got beached with the job I am working right now, an aircraft mechanic. I'm not really complaining about doing it, though, as it's not a bad job, and it's pretty cool seeing how these things work. I'd also be lying to say I haven't learned anything useful, or important, or just plain interesting. Even more so to say that I haven't met some insanely awesome people here.

I just haven't been as active with my artwork as I want to be, and that's what's kind of killing me at the moment. I'd get a really good idea of what I want to do, but I'd get inspired at completely the wrong moments, usually when I'm far away from my own computer. So, I figured, to get me back into it, of doing a few small commissions, and seeing where that goes. I'll be sure to pass along the details once I figure things out.

I got started when I was in middle school, when my dad got me an old Quadra 800, with a copy of Photoshop on it. I fiddled around with it, since I knew he used it as well, and was hooked. Since then I've taken to developing my skills, and adding tools to the "arsenal." I eventually got my B.A. in visual tech and business management, from George Mason University, in Virginia, and have been keeping my skills up from there.
